The Machinery Industry in China is greatly expanding but is lacking in research and technological innovation; whereas in Europe – especially in those Partner-countries of the Project – enterprises can count on competitiveness and technological innovation but need assistance in order to penetrate into the Chinese market, because of their small and medium size. The COSMEC Project aims at facilitating the economical and industrial cooperation between EU and China, in a mutual exchange. The perspective of growth in China is tied to the investment in technology and to the acquisition of EU standards as far as quality and certification are concerned. EU highly qualified enterprises may provide further impetus to the Chinese market development providing know-how and advanced technologies towards China.
