COSMEC PROJECT - KICK-OFF MEETING (4^th APRIL 2006)

The first Kick-Off Meeting between the Partners of the COSMEC Project, the 18-month-long co-operation programme aiming at creating a sustainable partnership between SMEs of the Mechanical Industry (Wood/Glass-Working Machinery, Machinery for Agriculture and Machinery for Construction) from EU and China, took place in Pesaro(Italy) on Tuesday 4^th April 2006. The event occured at the main seat of the Chamber of Commerce of Pesaro in Corso XI Settembre 116 with the participation of all the European (Italian, Spanish, English, German and Hungarian) and Chinese partners.

The Meeting was arranged as follows:

• first of all an opening session, coordinated by Ms Gisella Bianchi (General Manager of A.SP.IN. 2000, the Special Agency of the Chamber of Commerce of Pesaro and Urbino for the Internationalization of enterprises), concerning an introduction about the territory and the industrial district of the Province of Pesaro and Urbino and a brief description of A.SP.IN. 2000 mission and activities;
• secondly, the presentation of the COSMEC Project by Ms Simona Ortolani, COSMEC Project Coordinator for A.SP.IN. 2000;
• afterwards, the presentation of A.SP.IN. 2000 office in Shanghai (ICCPU) by Mr Gabriele Perini, Coordinator of ICCPU Shanghai Office;
• followed by the presentation of SFIE (Shanghai Federation of Industrial Economics) by Ms Min Guo, SFIE International Relations and SFIE COSMEC Coordinator;
• and finally the presentation of the COSMEC web-site (www.asiacosmec.net) by Ms Immacolata Gentile of Mondimpresa Roma.

On the occasion of this meeting, both the European and Chinese partners of the Project participated actively to this event, giving valuable considerations and suggestions about the ways of carring out the COSMEC Project and granting full support to the realization of its objectives.

In conclusion, this event has represented for all the participants to the Project an occasion to start the establishment of personal and working relationships and the creation of a fruitful co-operation.

At the very end of the Kick-Off Meeting all the partners came together to have a lunch at the restaurant “La Bussola” in Pesaro.
